This is a tough one. Aren't we all a little guilty at one time or another of judging somebody?
Think about it- you see the mom on her phone not paying attention to her child at the playground- you think "Jeez, lady, spend time with you kid instead of playing on facebook!" Completely discrediting anything that may have happened during her day or what she may be dealing with on the back end. Maybe she had made cookies with her child earlier that day, cleaned the house while the little one napped, took the kiddo to lunch and then received a phone call that she lost her job and just needed somewhere to get a break all while allowing her child some playtime. Who really knows? Maybe her kid had been having meltdowns all day and she was about to pull her hair out- she needed a break! A break before she broke. So, there she was- at the park- searching through google to find out "how to discipline a strong willed child"! I don't know but either way she was judged, right?
What about the girl that is always taking selfies? Okay, we get it already! You love taking pics of yourself! Right? But no..... maybe she always struggled with self esteem and she finally is starting to feel confident. Maybe she was previously in an abusive relationship that made her feel ugly and she's finally freed herself allowing her to see her potential and she's actually happy? Again, who knows...but she was judged...
So, here it is.... We NEVER know another person's situation- I mean, unless they tell us, but how often is that the case? My purpose in today's post is truly to share my heart. I hear others make judgmental comments all the time. Heck! I've been judged myself plenty of times! It's not a good feeling.
We have absolutely no right to judge one another!
It even says in the Bible: Judge not lest you will be judged. My simple advice (and what I try to do each day)...
Be kind.
Love others like God loves you.
If you don’t agree with the lifestyle another has still show Gods love.
Love. Smile. Share Gods word.
Don’t judge others just because they sin differently than you.
